After retiring from full time work in Primary Education, I came to live in Market Drayton in 2001 and set up an over 50’s Linedancing group which runs to this day. Until 2017, I was involved backstage and onstage with Market Drayton Amdrams, the MD Art Club and became an active member of the Market Drayton Arts Festival team from its inception in 2014. From small beginnings, the Market Drayton Arts Festival has grown and developed with the support of organisations and members of the local community along the way. I was delighted that we managed to survive the knock-on effects of Covid and am now very excited about our upcoming 10th Anniversary Arts Festival this year.
